Morgan Malencia

Hello! My name is Morgan Malencia and I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA. This page will teach you all about my life experiences including college, motorsports, internships, and more. I will be graduating from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree in May 2021.

 

Throughout college, I have been involved in various organizations, most notably the STEM EE Scholars Program and the Formula Buckeyes FSAE Team. I have been a member of Formula for four years total; three as the Brakes Team lead and one as the Technical Director. These four years have taught me more than I ever though imaginable. From leadership and interpersonal skills to manufacturing and software, the experiences I have gained have been truly invaluable.

In addition to the Formula team, I have completed internships at Norfolk Southern Corp and American Showa Inc. These work experiences provided great insight on the day to day life of an engineer and how large corporations function. I was able to implement much of what I learned in school to real world situations such as damper testing, developing parts for manufacturing processes, standardization of work, data acquisition and testing, and much more.

I am currently seeking a full time job in Mechanical Engineering. I am open to all locations within the United States and am most interested in design, research and development, and any industry that utilizes or is developing advanced technologies, particularly automotive.
